Mission Statement

The mission of Youth Understanding Youth is to provide a warm and friendly place where lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans-identified, queer, two-spirited, questioning, asexual and straight youth, 12- 25, can gather to have fun and learn about themselves and others in a safe, supportive, and caring environment.

Philosophy

Youth Understanding Youth is a self-supporting youth group, facilitated by a team of volunteer professionals from the community, that strives to create a safe environment in which youth can explore and express their interests and needs in an atmosphere where they are supported and respected for their contributions and unique individual differences.
