YUY Youth Roles and Responsibilities

Responsibilities and expectations of Youth Leader:

• Arrives on time on scheduled night, and is prepared with an icebreaker question. Makes arrangements in case of absence or lateness.
• Reads and follows the Saturday Meeting Procedure (‘Pink Sheet’).
• Participates in helping to coordinate the evening’s event or discussion with the facilitator.
• Recognizes the importance of the Youth Leader as an important link to making new and returning youth feel welcome and wanting to return to the group.
• Is open to feedback.

Responsibilities and expectations of all YUYers:

• Arrive on time for YUY.
• Show respect for themselves, others, and the meeting space.
• Participate in or listen to the week’s activities.
• Provide suggestions at planning meetings.
• Follow the philosophy and procedure of the youth group.
• Volunteer their time and talents for helping to lead activities, if desired.
• Volunteer as Youth Leader if desired.
