Altview
Altview is a peer support and discussion group for sexual minority youth
up to the age of 25. Our primary focus is on helping LGBTQ youth from
Strathcona County and surrounding areas feel connected to a larger

Gay, Lesbian & Bisexual Academic Students & Staff (GLASS)
GLASS is the University of Calgary's support group for gay, lesbian and
bisexual academics and students. GLASS provides a positive context for
the promotion of safety, personal development, pride and respect for

Hate and Bias Crime Initiative
The Hate and Bias Crime Initiative advocates for a safe and inclusive
environment for our diverse and multicultural society. The initiative
is committed to building a framework to manage issues and prevent
occurrences involving hate.
The
Edmonton Police Service also has a long standing LGBTQ Liaison
Committee that has been actively working to develop community
responsive policing policies, programs, and services. Most recently the
Liaison Committee has worked with school resource officers to meet the
health and safety needs of LGBTQ students.
